Wash discs in warm water and dry them. Grit worn into the rim changes how a disc releases, and a shiny worn rim is why a favourite driver slowly stops going where you put it.

Putter, mid range, two fairway drivers, a distance driver and a marker.

A five disc starter set with the flight numbers printed here, so you can see what each disc is for before you throw it.

One bag's worth of discs, chosen so a beginner can throw every one of them.

A round needs three things: something to putt with, something for controlled approaches, and something that goes a long way. This set has all three, plus two fairway drivers that sit between the mid range and the distance driver.

Every disc here has its flight numbers listed in the specifications, which is how disc golfers describe what a disc does: speed, glide, turn and fade.

A special edition mini marker disc is included for marking your lie before you throw.

Colours are assorted, so the set you receive may not match the photographs.

Not sure yet? That is fine.

Frequently Asked Questions

Why buy Practice Disc Golf discs for regular use?

Because Practice Disc Golf becomes far more effective when you have the right tools ready to go. A balanced set helps turn random throwing into purposeful skill-building, giving you better variety, clearer progress, and more enjoyment every time you head out to practise.

Can a Disc Golf Set grow with a new player?

Definitely. A Disc Golf Set is not just for first throws; it can stay useful as your control improves. The same 3-disc structure helps you refine line shaping, distance judgement, and short-game confidence, so it remains valuable well beyond the beginner stage.

Is a Frisbee Golf Disc Set easy to carry and use?

Yes, a Frisbee Golf Disc Set keeps things refreshingly simple. With just the core discs you need, it is easy to take to open space, practise regularly, and enjoy spontaneous sessions without carrying a bulky collection. That convenience makes it easier to stay consistent.

What skills does Practice Disc Golf develop first?

Practice Disc Golf builds the fundamentals first: grip , release angle, aim, distance control, and putting touch. Because the discs have clearly different jobs, it becomes easier to understand what changed on each throw, which helps you improve with more purpose and less frustration.

Can a Disc Golf Set help with approach shots?

Yes, a Disc Golf Set is especially useful for approach work because the mid-range and putter are built for controlled, accurate throws. Those shorter shots often shape your score, so having discs designed for precision can make a noticeable difference quite quickly.

Is a Frisbee Golf Disc Set only for serious players?

Not at all. A Frisbee Golf Disc Set suits casual players just as well as committed learners. It is easy to use, enjoyable in short sessions, and practical on full rounds, making it a great option for anyone who wants simple fun with real skill-building potential.

Why do beginners often prefer slower discs in Practice Disc Golf?

Slower discs are generally easier to control, which makes them ideal for Practice Disc Golf . Since disc speed ratings often range from 1 to 14 , many newer players benefit from discs on the more manageable end, where clean form matters more than raw power.

Can a Disc Golf Set build confidence quickly?

Yes, a Disc Golf Set can build confidence quickly because each disc teaches a different part of the game. As your throws become cleaner and more predictable, you start trusting your technique more, which makes practise feel smoother and actual play far more enjoyable.

What target do you aim for in a Frisbee Golf Disc Set session?

The usual target is a metal basket fitted with chains and a catching tray. Even when you begin with basic throwing drills, using the discs from a Frisbee Golf Disc Set prepares you for realistic scoring shots and helps your practise feel more purposeful.

Are discs in Practice Disc Golf made for real play?

Yes. Practice Disc Golf sets are designed for proper use, not just casual tossing. The discs are shaped for genuine flight performance, giving you the chance to learn real shot types and build dependable habits that transfer directly to full rounds on the course.

What makes a Disc Golf Set easier than buying random discs?

A Disc Golf Set is easier because the discs are chosen to work together rather than overlap. That means less confusion, better balance, and a clearer learning path. Instead of guessing what each disc does, you get a purposeful setup designed for actual progress.

Can a Frisbee Golf Disc Set be used for putting drills?

Absolutely. The putter in a Frisbee Golf Disc Set is perfect for repetition-based drills, helping you work on touch, line, and confidence. Regular putting practise is one of the quickest ways to improve scoring, especially when you build a consistent routine around it.

Is Practice Disc Golf good for coordination?

Yes. Practice Disc Golf helps develop coordination by combining balance, timing, grip, and aim in one smooth motion. Repeating those movements regularly can sharpen control and rhythm, making the sport feel not only enjoyable but also genuinely rewarding to practise often.

How quickly can I start playing with a Disc Golf Set?

Very quickly. A Disc Golf Set removes the hassle of choosing discs individually, so you can focus on throwing and learning straight away. With the essentials already covered, it is much easier to step onto a 9-hole or 18-hole course feeling prepared.

Can a Frisbee Golf Disc Set be shared with family or friends?

Yes, a Frisbee Golf Disc Set is great for shared play because it introduces the sport in a simple, approachable way. Different players can try different discs, compare flights, and learn together, turning a casual session into a fun and memorable activity.

Is Practice Disc Golf a good gift idea?

Definitely. Practice Disc Golf makes a brilliant gift because it is easy to pick up, enjoyable from the first throw, and useful for both newcomers and returning players. A set feels complete straight away, especially when it includes the 3 core discs needed to start well.

Can a Disc Golf Set help with throwing form?

Yes, a Disc Golf Set makes it easier to learn proper form because you can see how different discs respond to your technique. That immediate feedback helps improve release angle , timing , and follow-through, which are all essential for cleaner, more dependable throws.

Do I need a basket to enjoy a Frisbee Golf Disc Set?

Not at all. You can build useful skills with a Frisbee Golf Disc Set by practising release, aim, and distance control in open space. When you do use a target, the transition feels easier because your throwing mechanics and consistency are already improving.

Why is a mid-range so useful in a Disc Golf Set?

The mid-range is often the most versatile disc in the bag. It is excellent for controlled throws, smooth approaches, and learning clean technique, which is why many players rely on it heavily. In a Disc Golf Set , it often becomes the disc you trust most.

What do the numbers mean on discs in Practice Disc Golf?

Those figures usually refer to 4 flight ratings : speed , glide , turn , and fade . In Practice Disc Golf , these numbers help you compare how discs are meant to fly, making it easier to choose a set that feels manageable, reliable, and beginner-friendly.

Are starter sets enough for casual rounds?

For many players, they are more than enough. A good Disc Golf Set covers the main shot types you need for everyday play, making casual rounds smoother, simpler, and more enjoyable. It is an easy way to start strong without building a large collection first.

Can a Frisbee Golf Disc Set be used on a full course?

Yes, a Frisbee Golf Disc Set is made for genuine play, not just casual throwing. Since most courses are 9 or 18 holes , a well-balanced starter set gives you the key discs needed to handle common shots and enjoy a proper round with confidence.

Is Practice Disc Golf suitable for short sessions?

Absolutely. Practice Disc Golf works brilliantly for quick sessions because you can sharpen grip , aim , and putting touch in a small amount of time. Even a short routine can build repeatable habits, making every session feel productive rather than rushed or random.

Can a Disc Golf Set improve accuracy?

Yes, a Disc Golf Set helps improve accuracy because each disc supports a specific type of throw. Repeating the right shots with the right disc builds cleaner form, steadier release angles, and better control, which leads to more consistent results over time.

What is the difference between discs in a Frisbee Golf Disc Set?

Each disc has a different role. The driver is designed for longer throws, the mid-range for control and consistency, and the putter for short, precise finishes. That makes a Frisbee Golf Disc Set far more useful than using the same disc for every shot.

How many discs do I need to start Practice Disc Golf?

For most new players, 3 discs is the ideal starting point. That gives you a balanced mix for long shots, controlled throws, and putting, making Practice Disc Golf much easier to enjoy while keeping your learning curve clear, practical, and far less overwhelming.

Why choose a Disc Golf Set instead of one disc?

A single disc limits your options, but a Disc Golf Set gives you proper variety from the start. With 3 different flight styles , you can practise more realistically, improve shot selection, and build skills across driving, approach play, and putting in one easy bundle.

Is Practice Disc Golf good for beginners?

Yes. Practice Disc Golf is ideal for beginners because it keeps learning simple and rewarding. A beginner-friendly set helps build timing , release , and accuracy faster, while giving you the right discs to understand how each throw should feel and fly.

What does a Frisbee Golf Disc Set include?

A typical Frisbee Golf Disc Set gives you the core tools for real play and regular practise. You usually get 3 key discs with different flight purposes, helping you handle long throws, approach shots, and close finishes with more confidence and less trial and error.

What is a Disc Golf Set?

A Disc Golf Set is a smart all-in-one starter pack built to get you throwing confidently from day one. Most sets include 3 essential discs, a driver , mid-range , and putter, so you can learn distance, control, and accuracy without the guesswork.

Buying Guide

What the four numbers mean

Every disc golf disc is described by four numbers, and once you know them the whole sport gets easier to shop for.

Speed, from 1 to 14, is how fast the disc has to be thrown to fly the way it was designed to. A speed 12 driver thrown gently does not go far, it just turns over. Glide is how well it stays in the air. Turn is what it does early in the flight at full power, where a negative number means it banks right for a right handed backhand. Fade is how hard it comes back left at the end.

Why a beginner should not start with the fastest disc

The distance driver in this set is a speed 12. It is in the box because you will grow into it, not because you should throw it on day one. New players almost always get more distance from the speed 6 or 7 fairway drivers, because those actually fly at the arm speed a beginner has.

Start with the Leopard. It is the disc in this set that most forgives a slow, slightly off-axis throw.

The putter is the disc that lowers your score

Everybody wants to talk about drivers. Rounds are won inside ten metres. The Aviar is a beadless putter that flies straight and finishes predictably, which is all you want from a disc you are throwing at a basket from close range.

Practise with it more than the rest put together and your score falls faster than any amount of extra distance will manage.

Breaking in, and why colours vary

Base plastic like this starts stable and gets more understable as it wears. That is not the disc going off; it is the disc becoming yours. A worn Leopard turns more, which makes it a roller and a turnover disc, and plenty of players keep both a fresh one and a beaten one in the bag.

Colours are assorted. The set is picked by mould, not by colour, so what arrives may not match the photograph. If a specific colour matters to you, ask before ordering rather than after.

Where to actually play

There are permanent courses across the UK, and a lot of people never use one. A park, five trees and a portable basket is a real round. If that is the plan, the chain basket in this range folds down and moves with you.
